We were thete yesterday. Had California rolls, spicy tuna rolls and the teriyaki chicken plate. The rolls were great! The teriyaki chicken was too. The only thing was the dressing on the salad that comes with theteriyaki. It tasted watered down. Maybe think about offering a peanut dressing or something as an option for the salad. Overall it was really very good and we will definitely go back as the prices are very reasonable for the amount you get! Love it and 5 stars

I really like this place. We have become regulars and their service is top notch. We usually get their teriyaki bowls, these are hands-down best I've tried in La Mirada. I want to try their rolls soon. The owner is super sweet and so is his staff. Every time he sees my daughter, he always gives her a treat when we are done eating. Even when I don't bring her, he adds her treat in her takeout bag. Superior service! :)

Went here for lunch and ordered 1/2 shrimp temp and 1/2 California temp. Both were really good, above my expectations. Totally recommend this spot. Service was great and food was out in a timely matter. Good prices as well. Check it out!

Well priced rolls, good customer service, great miso soup for only $1. My only issue is that the rolls are small and I had to stop somewhere else to achieve "fullness".

Don't be fooled by the small diner feel. This place is great! We got teriyaki and sushi and both were excellent. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and actually gave me tea on the house! Really thrilled because their tea was soooo good! Not only that but their prices are great for the amount of food we received. Loved it. Very close to Biola college, and we'll take our college friend here next time we visit her. Good sushi, good service. Loved our visit here.

Good amount of food and quality for it's price. My boyfriend and I have eaten here a bunch of times and we surely still keep coming back. We LOVE and appreciate good service and this restaurants earns a 5 star for that. The owner is SUPER super friendly. He always has a smile on his face. The food it decent. They have a selection of sushi but not the fanciest ones but like I said, this is a nice place to go to if you want good food for a good price

I love the crunch roll & my classic California roll. The yaki soba & teriyaki bowls are delicious as well. Go here once in awhile now because life is so busy. It's really nice the staff is friendly & very respectful.

  • JY O.

Seriously this place has four stars? The teriyaki beef plate doesn't even come close to flame broiler's and the orange chicken taste straight from the microwave. I'd rather eat the frozen orange chicken from trader joes. Though the serve size is plenty.

  • Gloria O.

My co workers and I used to frequent this place a lot but we haven't been able to go in as much as we'd like. The service is still excellent and food is still as delicious and as reasonably priced as before. And to top it off the owner is the nicest guy ever.

I was very shocked to read all of these great reviews. I ordered a couple rolls to go and was so disappointed when I got home. Rolls were small and dry, they left a lot to be desired. Maybe they do a better job when you dine-in (based on the photos). I will not be returning nor would I recommend this place to anyone. There are just too many other places in the area that have more to offer.

  • Marichu D.

My family and I LOVE this place. The owner is really nice and always goes out of his way to make sure we're satisfied with our food. There isn't one item on their menu that I wouldn't recommend, but I definitely love the baked salmon roll and the beef/chicken combo plate.

Loved their Teriyaki Chicken and Sushi Dish! Very Clean. Friendly Customer Service from Korean Owners. Would be coming back to eat some more yummy food! Price Range is a bit pricey, but for the quality of the meal definitely worth it!

Love this place! Spicy yokisoba is to die for!!! I find myself here at least once a week! I also love the staff! So kind and welcoming!

Decent food. I got the lunch special with sushi, and was given 3 small pieces of sushi. I forgot how much I didn't like sushi... I would recommend getting the teriyaki plate or bowl, they looked pretty good; or the rolls. Pros: -Friendly service -Clean establishment -Has a fast food restaurant feel, but with a server Cons: -Small lunch special portion size for the $$$ -No tofu in the miso soup (lol) [Overall] Food is clean, restaurant is clean, and the employees were all so friendly. I just ordered the wrong dish and will be back to try another. Maybe I'll update this review!

Great place! The manager/owner is always there, and doesn't let you leave without thanking you and smiling. The food is great too, I like the teriyaki bowls and the tempura california rolls

  • Linus L.

I had an udon soup bowl and a spicy tuna roll. The tuna was definitely a bit fishy, unfortunately, and lacked flavor. It was pretty bland and grocery store like. I tried my friends tempura California roll and it was better; it was crunchy but still pretty Americanized. Thankfully the udon's broth was fine, and the noodles tasted right. The vegetables (broccoli, mushrooms) didn't add much and tasted uncooked. It felt like a careless effort. I also tried my friends teriyaki chicken, which was sickly sweet and kinda inedible. Yuck, too much sugar. I feel cruel giving this place 2 stars, but at the same time 3 seems a bit generous. It was a tad expensive all things considered, in comparison to Panda Express or whatever. 11 dollars for udon soup and sushi. So it goes.

Pretty good prices for lunch, small restaurant. If your lunch break is short, I'd recommend calling in your order first because they took about 15 min or so for food to come out. But decent prices and good portions. I tried their teriyaki chicken combo meal. Comes with rice, chicken, salad and 4 pieces of sushi and miso soup for about $8.95. They have an assortment of sushi rolls and different teriyaki and lunch bowl items that are around $5-6 in price. Good prices and the food isn't too bad, good lunch place for some fast and cheap Japanese food.

To-go is always a touchy thing, even when ordering from one of your favorite spots. We all know everything tastes best fast and on the spot. I ordered two chicken teriyaki plate combo w/ sushi with extra orders of egg rolls and also tempura shrimp. Delicious. I love this place. Also, recently remodeled. Looks great. Friendly service Fresh food Good prices Can't go wrong

  • Gina M.

I really, really love this place. Its not fancy or premium sushi but its very good, the price is right, and the portions are generous. Far, far better than Niko Niko in La habra which is totally gross and also better than Maki Yaki. I highly recommend this place.

And i havent ordered my food yet its just thats how much a good experience yiu have here. Owners really nice and humble. Beef bowl! Here i come

  • Janet T.

The service was really friendly. The food came out really quick. The place was nice and clean. No air conditioning (and it's in the high 90's so it was hot, not too bad inside bc of fans). The food was good. What I liked about it is that you can tell they didn't cut corners on quality of food. The sauces are good, the sushi is fresh and all around it was a good meal.

    (4)
  • Rod H.

I would label this an entry level experience. It has the look of a cafe, there are limited choices, the sushi rolls are ok, but nothing to write home about. Prices for roles and sushi are on par with a nice restaurant so, there is no deal here. But, the combo plates for teriyaki are reasonable. The folks who run the place are pleasant and the place is very clean.

Found this place on yelp and decided to give them a try. Large portions with decent prices for good food. Its now my go to place for Japanese food and conveniently located just down the street! They even deliver!

  • Mona A.

Went here for lunch today with my sister, daughter & granddaughter. We were not disappointed! The food was great and the service was outstanding. It was my 7 year old granddaughter's first time trying sushi and she LOVED it! Overall, an awesome experience. We will definitely be returning...often!

I ordered spicy tuna hand rolls. For $6.95.it's terrible. The seaweed wrap hard to chew. I can even cut it with my teeth!!!

    (1)
  • Mom A.

Always friendly, simple and clean. Nothing fancy so it's only for the sushi cravings. Fish is usually good and the place isn't crowded with customers. It's hidden around the end of a cheaper looking not busy old strip mall. We usually do a take out on my way to my parents house as my youngest son always wants a California roll when coming to visit Orange County and the food is always consistent as well as the friendly service. The only worries is that usually after saying something nice about an establishment on yelp it goes down so I don't want to jinx this one! I hope it stays the way it is.

  • Juana G.

I don't recommend this place at all. They were so disrespectful me and my friends. I ordered some food and my friends came from subway, they didn't open the food or anything they were just waiting... And the lady came and turned off the lights and the fans. It was already hot with the fans on and it was worst with them off. She walked by pass us an she didn't say anything at all. It was until we got our food from there that she told us no outside food. It was unnecessary for her to turn off the lights and the fans. She could of just told us no outside food and that's it. We just left. They were so rude and selfish. Looks like I they didn't want anymore customers. They sure did lost one!

I love this place. Oh my goodness. It might be a small establishment but I feel like you get such great service when the place is smaller. The owner is friendly. I'm always filled when I leave. Great food for a good price. Definitely my favorite japanese place while at school. :3

  • Teshlon C.

I give this place 3 stars because it is quiet, looks clean and the food wasnt bad. It is not however 4 or 5 star by any means. Very limited. They dont even have a bento box. I don't think I will be back here.

Found this place on yelp, ordered a baked salmon roll and a spicy tuna roll, both were very tasty. Baked salmon was exceptionally good. Will return if in the area again, wish they had a lunch special!

  • DaRwdy1 ..

This place was pretty good. Was looking for an inexpensive place to get my sushi fix and it really did hit the spot. The girl behind the counter was very friendly and helped another guest very pationately go over each item on the menu. The menu isn't very extensive but not bad. I'm sure everyone could find something to try out. The gentleman putting my order together was very friendly.

I've been coming here for years. The foods average but its in a convent location. The soup is the best thing on the menu for sure. Its been owned and operated by the same people forever and the gentleman at the front is always so friendly and really does give great service.

By Far the Best Sushi Spot ! The Rolls are Always Delicious. The Food is always Fresh. The Service is Top Notch. The Friendliest Owner. I can choose from numerous spots all over to take my Lunch but continue to choose Tokyo for the best tasting freshest food hands down. They got the best tasting Spicy Mayo & Eel sauce I have ever had. I have tried many many Sushi spots but nothing compares to Tokyo Teriyaki & Sushi! I guarantee you wont be Disappointed. Tell'em Richard Sent You!

Mediocre at best. Honest but true. Invest in high qualIty ingredients to justify the price. Do not recommended. Avoid at all costs.

  • S M.

The rolls are tasty and fresh. The yakitori is yummy. The prices are decent *Customer service is outstanding.* The owner is very sweet and will throw in free extras on occasion if you are a regular :) It's not very big inside, so it wouldn't be good for a group, but it's the perfect little spot to grab lunch or dinner.

I frequently go to this sushi place! Mainly by myself, not because I don't have friends or anything, but because it's a nice getaway for me when I just want to relax and have a good peaceful lunch. It's nice to sit there and watch the news and put my mind at ease when I'm stressed out. The owner is awesome and love their sushi. I always get a spicy tuna roll, hot night roll, and miso soup. Although I want to explore other things on the menu, what I get is just so good I don't find the need to try anything else!! Love this place. I will be going there for years to come. Everyone should try it and I always recommend this place to people looking for a new sushi joint!

  • Courtney L.

This place is pretty tasty. I like their California rolls and I would go back to try more options. The only thing that wasn't really my favorite was the teriyaki chicken. It was a little dry and it was a little but rubbery. I would give this place another shot for sure.

  • Mario F.

Great food come try it. I live 45 min away and stopped by here. I am willing to come again i want more but i am on a diet. Not to busy so more of you should come try this place and make it a spot you can always count on!

Best teriyaki in Orange County!! You can tell the chicken is feshly prepared in back, and the teriyaki sauce is delicious. The salad had an amazing light pineapple sauce, which i wasn't expecting to like but did. And the rice was definitely better quality than the average teriyaki hole-in-the-wall. My mom said the tempura was really good as well. Oh yeah, and the miso soup was the best I've ever had...ever!

5 Stars for the Baked Salmon roll - DELICIOUS I was helping a friend move to La Mirada and we had no clue where to catch a quick bite for dinner, I turned to Yelp, and wasn't let down. Don't let the strip mall exterior fool you, this little gem is worth the stop. It's not upscale dining, but it's darn good. The place is super clean. All the staff hail greetings as you enter and continue the attentive and super friendly service throughout the duration of our meal. I had a spicy tuna roll & the delectable, delicious baked salmon roll. It was fantastic! My friend had a teriyaki chicken & sushi combo, which consisted of miso soup, rice, salad, 3 pieces of sushi, 2 pieces of California roll and a giant mound of teriyaki chicken pieces all for only $7.99. He raved about his meal too. I can't get over how yummy the baked salmon roll was. I wish Tokyo Teriyaki was closer, I'd love to have that salmon roll again.... and again. I'm sure my buddy (who just moved nearby) will make it a regular stop though. Yep - he took a few menus on the way out. Thanks for the tip Yelpers!

First off, I'm not going to go all fan boy and say that it's the best Japanese food that you can ever have. That's why I rate this restaurant as 4 stars. I really enjoy this place. It definitely gives the vibe of being an "Americanized" Japanese restaurant. They serve quickly, and their food is pretty good, especially for the price. They have a fair selection of sushi rolls and various other types of meals. Their teriyaki and yakisoba are good, though the shrimp in their yakisoba didn't seem super fresh. For me, the biggest draw is the price. Most of the time Japanese food runs much more expensive, in the $10-15/plate rate, and, IMO, Tokyo Teriyaki & Sushi is at least as good as many of those other places in La Mirada, but for only $7-10/plate. And their serving sizes are quite large, I always leave with my hunger completely satisfied, and I'm known in my family for my large appetite. In conclusion, two thumbs up for the combination of fairly good food and fairly low prices, but only 4 stars in the grand scheme of everyday Japanese cuisine.

Was in La Mirada for a business meeting and was craving sushi for lunch. Chose here based on Yelp reviews and wasn't disappointed. Clean, friendly and family run. Had the Crunch Roll and Philadelphia and both were great.

Although this restaurant is in a seemingly questionable area, the food was quite good and reasonably priced. The teriyaki chicken bowl and the spicy tuna tempura roll were surprisingly better than I expected them to be! The cashier was extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming here again!

  • Lyna V.

Small family owned restaurant with very nice, friendly service. The food isn't A+ but it definitely is in the B range. The price is fair for what you get quality and quantity wise. Only thing I didn't like was you pay before you get your food, I'm use to ordering sushi as I eat, since I never know how much I'll want, and then pay afterwards. But overall, it's a nice place to drop by if you're craving some reasonably priced sushi and teriyaki meals.

    (4)
  • Jose M.

Friendly service and good tasting food. Large selection of sushi items. i recommend the baked salmon sushi platter. I will say that if you want "authentic" Japanese sushi then I suggest to buy a plane ticket and go to Japan, but the items sold are quality and good tasting. On top of the very friendly service by the staff who I've seen deal with rude customers with temper tantrums I definitely will continue to come back for the good sushi dishes sold here.

  • Rosemary Y.

Fast food sushi. Not very fresh and very limited selections - shrimp, eel, salmon and tuna just about wraps it up.

  • Seid H.

Location is questionable but the food is very clean and prices are reasonable. The Yaki soba with beef is one of my favorites from here. They make great rolls, the chicken teriyaki combo plate is also good.

Had a sushi craving today, so I decided to drive a couple miles down to Tokyo Teriyaki & Sushi. I hadn't been here in years. I'm sure it was a different owner or they've hired a better staff because back then I wouldn't step into this place after my first couple experiences. Third time's a charm, I suppose. This restaurant prides themselves on simple, low calorie, and low fat dining and I commend them for that. Their menu is very basic and the prices are pretty darn affordable. This restaurant is also located in another really bad strip mall in La Mirada, but is definitely not as intimidating as the rest of the area. When you walk in, you are greeted by a smiling face, which is nice. The decor is very basic and clean, not over the top or Asian kitschy. Even their food presentation is very modest. Today, I ordered their Spicy Tuna Tempura roll and an order of the chicken salad. The roll was a good size, filled with spicy tuna, avocado and cucumber and a pretty good buy. The chicken salad is actually their regular house salad, with a white, tart dressing (I'm not exactly sure what it is) paired with their teriyaki chicken. I liked it. The chicken was very tender and the teriyaki sauce was on point. Just wish the portions were a little bigger. They even have all the condiments you need on the table already. The wasabi and ginger are in jars and the soy sauce and Sriracha hot sauce are also displayed. That's very convenient since I use a lot of the hot sauce and ginger; I don't have to keep asking for more ha ha. There are a lot of other things on their menu that I would like to try: the bowls look really good, they have combo meals for under 8 bucks and they have Vegetable Tempura for only 3.99. I also hear good things about the baked salmon roll, so I'll have to try it on my next visit. All in all, this is a great place for a quick bite to eat. There's no intimidating feeling. You just walk up to the counter, order your meal and take a seat. They were even nice enough to walk my food out to me instead of picking up at the counter. The lady at the counter was very attentive and checked to see if I was doing alright and if the food was okay. I give them a 3 star rating (would've been 3.5 if I could) because I do like a bigger selection on rolls and I am a sucker for sitting at the sushi bar (which they don't have because they are quick service). They have a very welcoming staff which makes up for it. I would definitely go back.

This place has the best rolls hands down. I am so addicted to the baked salmon rolls here and ever since I moved away, I have been craving their rolls every day. Not only do they have the best food, their service and the owners are so nice that it seems like they know a lot of their customers by name and everything. I know it's easy to just pass this place by because it's in a corner, but if you haven't tried this place yet, it's a MUST! If you call in ahead of time, they'll have it ready to go so it's convenient if you have a short lunch. I always order the baked salmon roll, their sushi is always fresh and their chicken teriyaki along with all of the bento box menus are excellent. I have not found another sushi spot that comes close to this place. It'll be worth your time and money.

I love love this place. I come here for lunchoften. First of all the owners are super nice, and friendly. They greet you and always thank you when you leave. What a basic idea. This is simple basic Japanese food. You get a great value and good tasting food. Their BBQ ribs are wonderful. The sushi is fresh and delicious. They have nice combinations that are delicious I like that as it makes it easier to go their a couple of times in a week, and be able to change it up.

Another place that is highly overrated by Yelp reviewers. I don't have a go to spot for sushi in the Whittier area so I took the advice of yelp reviewers and decided to come here. I just don't get how so many reviews can be 5 stars. This is a 3 star place on a good day. I had the Spicy Tuna Roll, Tiger Roll, Tuna Sushi and Eel Sushi. Spicy tuna was ok but rolled kind of sloppy. Tiger roll had a fishy taste to it and it doesn't contain fish. It has tempura shrimp in the middle and cooked shrimp on it. Obviously something in this roll was not very fresh. Tuna sushi was ok. Eel sushi was very oily and fatty. seriously, how can anyone give this place 5 stars? sure, the staff is friendly and helpful, the place is clean. But the sushi sucks. I dont care how great the service, if the food is bad forget it. If your thinking about going here think again. I think Sushi from the East on Whittier Blvd and Scott Ave is a better choice. Thats where I am going next time.

Times Visited: 10 Ambiance and Cleanliness: No special ambiance to speak of. It is fairly clean, but quite cramped. Food Items Tasted: Vegetable and shrimp tempura, California roll, Crunch Roll, Spider Roll, Teriyaki chicken, Teriyaki beef, Gyoza The tempura is nothing special; neither is their teriyaki chicken and Gyoza. It is their teriyaki beef that really stands out. The meat is tender, flavorful and the sauce adds a wonderful sweetness to the whole meal. Overall, a simple, yet delicious lunch. Their sushi is sub par. The last two times I have ordered their sushi, it tasted like the Styrofoam box it came in. I don't know if it's the sushi I am getting or the box it comes in, but it really is mediocre. Service: Service is average. Friendly, but still standoffish staff. Concluding Remarks: The price are higher than one would expect and for the quality of food I received, it seemed like a rip off. I would not come back for the sushi. I would only return for their teriyaki beef and continue my search for a decent sushi place.

I love this place. Theyve got such a nice clean facility. Their food is amazing and the customer service is great. Althought it is sometimes hard to get a table at lunchtime, they do have a call ahead service where you can reserve a table. The service is very prompt. Couldnt be better.

A sushi place that is affordable, tastes great and has fast service. It's near where I live and the staff are very friendly! Love the Spicy Tuna and the Crunch Roll. Tried the Dragon Roll and it was also pretty great! Hoping to try some more soon!

Tokyo Teriyaki and Sushi is a small restaurant in a strip mall. From looking at the menu they primarily serve sushi, but also have teriyaki plates and other miscellaneous items. I ordered the Spider sushi roll (depicted as the restaurant picture above), some miso soup and a small drink. All in all, eleven dollars. I've seen cheaper prices. The service could be slightly better. They also say goodbye on your way out, which is always great. I probably would not come here again, but I didn't have any beef with them.

    (3)
  • Jose H.

Very good the only reason I didn't give it the full 5 stars is because I love vegetables and they just give you chicken, rice and a lil salad. The price was decent.

  • Felipe E.

Saw the reviews on here and thought I might give this place a spin. Was not disappointed. Had the Chicken Teriyaki with California Roll combo. Everything hit the spot for a sushi joint that is very quick for service. The rolls were very delicious. Will have to go back and try the other rolls they offer. Will return when I get a craving for sushi during my lunch break.

Okay, so I took a chance on this place because the "strip mall" it was located in looks like something some of the gangs in The Warriors would hang out at. Me and a friend just went here because we wanted some Teriyaki Asian Face (inside joke: my roommate thought I said "Teriyaki Asian Face" instead of "Teriyaki Asian Place'). And it actually turned out to be a good call! Granted, me and the lady only got a Chicken Bowl to go (which was $5.50, pretty average price). We came to find out after our order that the place was closing so personally, I was scared that our food was gonna be shit. And yeah as I predicted it actually was....by shit I mean GOOD shit! It wasn't even in a bowl! When we got it to go they put it in a styrofoam box and packed it full of steamed rice and endless amounts of teriyaki chicken. So, with that I was sold. The place itself doesn't really win an award for most authentic looking Japanese joint, but you can't blame them for trying. A few asian lantern balls here, a few Japanese scrolls here and voila! You've got Tokyo Teriyaki! Also, the man behind the counter was kind and just nodded and smiled (couldn't speak a lick of Engrish). So, I liked that. No bullshittin' around! Anyways, I didn't eat anything else, so expect another update when I go back and try their sushi (from the looks of it, it looks amazing).

Decent food & nice service. This place has a little of everything. They have a nice selection of rolls, offer soba (looks like chow mein), udon combos, box sets, teri-bowls, etc. I only had soup (he gave it to me for free!) and cali roll for $5 even. The roll tasted fresh and had a good amount of stuffin'. I might come back for some more later. Average price for most dishes hovered around $9, some less, like 7 and some more like 10.50

I literally live right across the street from this place and I was craving sushi today and decided to check it out. The owners are very sweet and immediately as I walked in, they greeted me warmly and waited patiently to take my order. It's a small restaurant with an small menu selection. I ordered the Rainbow Roll which was an array of fresh salmon and tuna slices as well as shrimp and avocado on top of a California Roll. Overall, it is very affordable and they give you a fair amount of food to keep you satisfied. I will probably return next time my sushi senses are tingling!

We have been eating here since it opened. Andy greets us by name when we walk in the door. The place is very clean. Andy & his wife are generous & usually give us extra rolls. We have never been disappointed after eating from Tokyo Teriyaki.

Above average sushi, but not great bam hit you in your face flavor. The rainbow roll was great, the spicy tuna roll was yummy as well. The nigiri pieces were a tad on the thin side. I'd visit again.

It was an odd day at work today. I had brought a lunch with me, but when it came time to eat it, I felt like I needed to leave the building. I had wanted to try this place a few times after discovering it one day while driving by. There are several places like Tokyo Teriyaki that are much closer to where I work, but I haven't been too thrilled with the food. So, even though I was eager to try this place, I was skeptical at the same time. Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed how very clean it was. The place is not large, but could hold comfortably about 30 or more people. They have a TV mounted to one of the walls playing local programming. The menu is full of pictures depicting yakisoba, sushi, rolls, teriyaki plates, and udon. The prices are very reasonable. Most of the dishes are below $7. There are a few that are more because of the meat or type of roll it is. I chose the salmon teriyaki special ($5.99) and a small diet coke ($1.00). The salmon was steaming hot when it came out. My special came with a salmon fillet, a perfect round ball of steamed white rice, and a salad with dressing (yellow and creamy in color with a taste of citrus). The meal was very good. What I liked was that the teriyaki sauce for the salmon was in a dipping bowl on the plate instead of poured on top of the fish. I liked that, because they were allowing me to determine how much sauce I wanted on my fish. I appreciated this healthy option. The rice was perfect and sticky. Just the way I like it. The dressing for the salad was quite refreshing with its citrus flavor. The man behind the counter, I suspect was the owner, was very friendly. He greeted and said good-bye to everyone who walked in and out of this place. I found this warmth refreshing. There are other dishes here that I would like to try. I'm thinking udon or one of the bowls. I will definitely come back to this place in the future. FYI, they offer catering and party trays to order. Also, if you're worried about MSG in your food, don't. This place claims on their take-out menu that they have low fat and low calorie food with no MSG. Since I'm still being careful about what I eat, I'm always on the lookout for places like this that offer lots of healthy menu options.

I didn't expect much, and I didn't get much. It's about as mid-level sushi as I would actually sit down to eat. The selection of raw offerings is extremely limited - tuna and salmon only, if I recall correctly. Everything else is cooked. I ordered a tiger roll (shrimp and avocado and shrimp tempura) and a dragon roll (crab and eel and avocado). They were okay. Not amazing, but not terrible. Satisfied my OMGNEEDSUSHINOW craving, but I probably won't go back, even tho they're close to work.

Tokyo Teriyaki gets 3.5 - 4 stars for their food, service and cleanliness. Good for a "strip mall" location. The gentleman at the registar always greets and says goodbye to all of his customers. He appears to be great with the kids too as he makes a concerted effort to give them a marshmellow pie before they leave. As for the food, try the chicken teriyaki bowl and or the orange chicken bowl; you can't go wrong with either. I found that they have a salad not listed in their menu. Someone called it a sashimi salad which included salmon and tuna and it looked delicious. Seems like you can't go wrong with this place. If you want good food, kind service in a clean environment, this is a place you'd like to try if you are in the area.

A girlfriend of mine brought me here for lunch today because it's close to her office at nearby Biola University. At first, I was a bit skeptical about having sushi at a strip mall. I'm just paranoid that way, not sure how fresh their fish is. So I stayed with ordering all the cooked dishes, making sure that nothing had raw fish in it. We ordered a Volcano roll and another cooked roll. Both were very good. Don't expect high quality sushi, but for a strip mall type of place and for its low prices, it's pretty good!

so this is one of my fave sushi spots, at least by my job, its clean, & the people there are always soo nice, when we get there, the have some good lunch specials, really yummy green tea ice cream, my fave roll is the caterpillar roll, the unagi sushi, & the tuna sashimi, I havent tried the uakisoba, noodles arent my thing . its small, so be sure to beat the lunch hour because they do have regular s, like myself, but its not that , bad I mean its not like waiting in line for the premier of Eclipse, or anything like that.so 2 thumbs up,
